Quenching oil maintenance specifications and methods

first, turn off the heating and mixing device of the quenching oil tank to ensure that the quenching oil in the oil tank is in a static state (production is strictly prohibited during water removal)

II. Allow quenching oil to settle for 72 hours

III. use a beaker to extract quenching oil samples from the upper part of the quenching oil tank and compare them with those before standstill to observe their poor formability in 3D printing and molding. If the quenching oil is clear, it can be treated in the next step; If the quenching oil is still muddy, it needs to stand still

IV. after standing, use a submersible pump with small suction to extract the oil from the upper part of the oil tank and place it in a dry container without water. The bottom oil (the oil layer 40 cm away from the bottom of the oil tank) is discarded. When pumping, pay attention to gently put the pump port from the oil surface, and the pump port should not be too deep from the oil surface (not more than 5cm) to prevent the bottom water from mixing into the upper oil again

v. after thoroughly wiping the oil tank with waste cloth, add the upper oil into the oil tank

VI. raise the oil temperature to 90 ℃, turn on the circulation and mixing device, and keep it warm for 72 hours (3 days) so that the remaining water can be removed (do not increase the oil temperature)

note: find out the cause of water inflow before water removal to prevent water inflow again. Possible reasons for water inflow include: water leakage of circulating cooling system, workpiece not drying before heat treatment, and other reasons

usage of carbon (ash) remover

1. Turn off the oil tank heater after raising the oil temperature of the oil tank to 90 ℃

2. Disperse and slowly add% carbon remover (it is best to add carbon remover in a clean plastic bucket), turn on the circulation and mixing device for about 8-12 hours (be sure to turn off the cooling device), ensure that the carbon remover is completely dispersed evenly, turn off the circulation and mixing device, close the furnace door, and check and confirm

3. Let the quenching oil settle for 3-5 days, and do not start the oil tank heater, stirring and circulating cooling device

4. Use a submersible pump to pump oil from the top of the oil tank to a clean oil storage tank or barrel. When pumping oil, the submersible pump should not eat oil too deep to avoid pumping out the deposited carbon black and water

5. Remove the residual oil (about one third) and sediment at the bottom of the oil tank about 30~35cm, and thoroughly clean the oil tank with a shovel, dry cotton yarn, and rags

6. If it is a belt furnace, clean the hoist and belt; In case of multi-purpose furnace, clean the elevator

7. After the oil tank is cleaned, put the clean oil back into the oil tank and remove the sediment at the bottom of the oil storage tank or barrel

8. After carbon removal, the oil level in the tank will drop. Add new oil to the oil level in time

note: please prepare clean transfer barrels or oil tanks and oil extraction pumps in advance; Dry rags, shovels and other tools are needed to clean the quenching tank. It is recommended to prepare new oil for replenishment. Avoid using water containing appliances during treatment

degassing process specification

1. Add oil to the quenching tank, start the oil tank mixing and circulating device, and turn on the oil tank heater. Heat the quenching oil to about 90 ℃, open the front chamber door with the furnace oil tank cover or the multi-purpose furnace, and mix, circulate, keep warm, and degass for hours

2. Qualified factories can speed up the oil degassing treatment process by heating the waste workpiece for quenching, and appropriately shorten the degassing treatment time

3. Observe the bubbling condition of the oil tank liquid level, and stop degassing when there are no bubbles or trace bubbles

4. When the oil tank is heated, the oil tank circulating mixing device must be opened to avoid local overheating and aging of the oil

5. In production, try to reduce the use oil temperature under the condition of meeting the deformation requirements

the recommended service temperature of quenching oil for bearings is 70-90 ℃

multipurpose furnace 80-100 ℃

specification for oil tank cleaning and use

1. Use an oil pump to drain the old oil in the oil tank, and drain the old oil in each pipeline (you can open the joint to drain the old oil)

2. Thoroughly remove the oil, carbon black and sediment in the oil tank and on the furnace wall. People can go down to the oil tank and wipe the dirt with cotton yarn

3. Clean the oil tank with new machine oil (1~2 barrels) and then drain the oil

4. Use a small amount of Kerun quenching oil to clean the oil tank and circulating system again, and then drain it

5. Check whether the circulating cooling system leaks. Water is strictly forbidden in the oil, otherwise the service life of quenching oil will be greatly reduced

6. Carefully check all parts of the oil tank again to see if the product quality can reach the same level as that of the imported brand, or if there are residual oil stains and other impurities 1 level higher. Add new oil only after it is qualified

note: old oil, water, air, etc. will lead to rapid aging of new oil and affect the cooling characteristics of oil. Therefore, the oil tank must be cleaned, and no old oil, water and sediment can be left. (end)
